No More Silent Cuts: Congress Wants the Data

You’ve heard the anecdotes. Entry-level analysts axed. Call center crews thinned. Driver jobs drying up like puddles in the Sahara. But what’s the actual headcount on AI's impact?
Senators Mark Warner and Josh Hawley just introduced a bipartisan bill that aims to put numbers where the narratives are. The AI-Related Job Impacts Clarity Act would make companies divulge how AI is changing their workforce every single quarter.
Tracking the Turnover
If passed, the bill would require publicly traded companies, federal agencies, and certain private firms to submit quarterly disclosures to the Department of Labor. These reports would need to include:
Layoffs tied directly to AI-based automation
Hires made as a result of AI deployment
Roles intentionally left vacant due to AI integration
AI-driven retraining programs
Any other workforce impacts tied to AI, as determined by the Secretary of Labor
The Department of Labor would be responsible for compiling and publishing the data through the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Reports would be issued quarterly, with additional net-impact analyses every six months.
Sounding the Alarm
Earlier this year, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei warned that current AI tools could eliminate half of all entry-level white-collar jobs within five years. He also projected unemployment rates could climb as high as 20%.
Amazon, UPS, and Target have recently announced more than 60K job cuts. AI was mentioned among several contributing factors, along with cost controls and shifting business priorities. This bill would create a mechanism for separating assumption from accountability.
What Dealers Should Watch
Auto retail is not explicitly named in the legislation, but the industry won’t be insulated. These shifts affect dealership workflows directly, from call centers to service schedulers. If the rule-making process includes large private companies, major dealer groups could eventually be subject to these reporting requirements.

Most brands treat creative like a slot machine. Pull the lever, hope something hits. But every high-performing ad is already full of clues—not just about what worked, but why it worked.
This prompt turns your back catalog into a strategic asset. You’ll surface the patterns, emotional angles, and audience cues that consistently drive performance, then use that data to inform what comes next.
I’m uploading multiple top-performing video ad scripts from my brand.
Each script includes:
-The full script text
-The creative type (UGC, testimonial, founder-led, story-driven, product demo, etc.)
-Key performance data (CTR, CVR, CPA, ROAS)
-Audience awareness level it targets (problem unaware, brand unaware, problem aware, brand aware, or solution aware)
-Any notes on tone, pacing, or structure that made it work
Once I’ve uploaded these, do the following:
1. Script Analysis:
Read and analyze all uploaded scripts. For each one, summarize:
-What makes it perform well (messaging, pacing, emotional hook, CTA, editing rhythm)
-The core angle or narrative device it’s built around
-The awareness level it’s targeting
-The emotional or psychological triggers it’s using (pain, aspiration, belonging, etc.)
2. Pattern Extraction:
Compare all scripts and identify common themes, tonal elements, or structural patterns that consistently drive performance. Highlight the 3–5 “creative DNA” elements shared by the top performers.
3. New Script Generation:
Using these learnings, write a completely new ad script inspired by the top performers but with a fresh angle. This new script should:
-Stay true to the brand’s tone and positioning
-Follow the same awareness stage and emotional resonance patterns
-Include a strong scroll-stopping hook in the first 3 seconds
-Maintain natural pacing, conversational flow, and emotional payoff
-End with a clear, strong CTA
